About the Project

Flow Autobody is a Brisbane-based smash repairer that is focused on providing an excellent repair experience for its customers by harnessing the latest technology, purposeful design and good old empathy. Formerly operating as Platypus Collision Repair, the business rebranded into Flow Autobody in 2019 and employed the branding expertise of creative agency Embark (formerly known as CSQD) to develop the brand identity.

Design Concept

The name Flow Autobody was originated by business owner, Jai Aguilar, who sought a more modern, positivity-driven, and relatable brand concept. The selected brand identity encapsulated the company's mission and purpose of creating positive and memorable repair experience for its customers despite them coming from a very stressful situation. The brand also captures the continuous flow of work at the workshop as well as the flow of positive energy and helping achieve a vehicle's 'flowstate' or optimal performance.

Final Output

The final output consisted of the implementation of Embark's branding into a wide array of media and collaterals. Using the brand bible as a starting point, I was able to distill the brand's visual and verbal tone. Working closely with Flow's director as well as the in-house videographer-photographer-motion graphics artist Lorence Longa, we produce regular content for the brand's socials (Facebook and Instagram)as well as digital and printed collaterals for internal and external stakeholders. The brand's website was built using Wix. Currently, I am collaborating with a small team of developers (ain-house and several offshore freelance web/software developers) on a workshop management tool, customer portal and online estimate generator.
